Earlier in the week, I scooped up used copies of Swallows & Amazons and Swallowdale at the Harvard Book Store.




I've been trying to get my hands on any of the Swallow & Amazons books ever since reading an allusion to them on Yarnstorm. Why are these books so difficult to obtain in the U.S.? I always prefer to patronize local bookstores rather than Amazon, but it did take almost two years for me to find two of the volumes locally. And I live in a bookstore heavy neighborhood.
